Acrobat Talent launches the RISK Network to help employers build the next generation of risk professionals

Acrobat Talent is delighted to announce the launch of the RISK Network, a new employer-led community dedicated to helping organisations attract, recruit and develop the next generation of risk professionals whilst bringing awareness to young people.

Bringing together HR, talent acquisition, early careers and learning leaders, the RISK Network has been created in response to a growing challenge facing employers across multiple sectors: demand for risk talent is increasing, but awareness of risk careers among young people remains low.

The network's name reflects its core purpose:

RISK = Recruitment, Insights, Safe Space and Knowledge Sharing

While rooted in Acrobat Talent's extensive experience supporting employers across insurance, pensions, retirement and wider financial services, the community has been designed to support organisations recruiting into risk-related functions across all sectors.

This includes employers hiring into areas such as:

  • Insurance and Reinsurance
  • Financial and Credit Risk
  • Compliance and Regulatory Functions
  • Operational and Enterprise Risk
  • Cyber Security
  • ESG and Sustainability
  • Governance, Audit and Resilience

Why the RISK Network?

Risk has become one of the most important functions within modern organisations. Businesses face increasing regulatory complexity, emerging cyber threats, changing customer expectations and growing environmental and governance responsibilities.

At the same time, many employers are struggling to build sustainable pipelines of future talent.

Despite offering rewarding and impactful careers, risk professions often suffer from low awareness among school leavers, apprentices, students and graduates. As a result, organisations frequently find themselves competing for a limited pool of experienced professionals rather than developing talent from the ground up.

The RISK Network exists to change that.

By bringing together employers facing similar workforce challenges, the network creates a space for practical collaboration, peer learning and shared problem-solving.

A community built by employers, for employers

The RISK Network is not a supplier forum or sales platform.

It has been designed as a trusted employer community where members can openly discuss challenges, share experiences and learn from one another.

Members will benefit from:

  • Peer networking and collaboration
  • Employer-led discussions and case studies
  • Practical knowledge sharing
  • Benchmarking and market insights
  • Access to emerging trends and research
  • A safe space to discuss talent challenges
  • Opportunities to showcase successful initiatives

The focus extends across the full early-talent journey, from attraction and employer branding through to assessment, recruitment, onboarding, development and progression.

Founding Members

To support the launch, Acrobat Talent is inviting a select group of Founding Members to help shape the future direction of the network.

Founding Members will play a direct role in influencing discussion topics, future events, research priorities and community initiatives while gaining early access to insight, benchmarking and collaborative opportunities.

The commitment is intentionally light-touch, with a small number of roundtables and discussions throughout the year.

The future risk talent challenge is bigger than any one organisation.

Whether you're recruiting apprentices into cyber security, developing graduate programmes in actuarial science, building compliance teams or strengthening operational risk capability, the challenges are often remarkably similar.

The RISK Network has been created to bring employers together, share what works and help more young people discover meaningful careers in risk.
